The Arizona SQL Server Users Group
Welcome to first Microsoft SQL Server user group to serve the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area. Our group focuses on the business and technical aspects of deploying and administering Microsoft's premier database and business intelligence system. Guided and often presented by our membership, meeting content is designed to enlighten the audience and provide timely insight.
Meetings and membership are free to anyone interested in learning more about Microsoft SQL Server and related products and technologies. We're continuing to grow! You too can be an insider to the many upcoming advances for SQL Server and related Microsoft technologies. Get plugged in!

- Garage parking is $1.50 per 30 minutes or $12 for 4 hours or more. They accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. They do not accept American Express.
- There are parking meters in front of the building. The cost is 25¢ per 10 minutes, and may be paid in increments of 80 minutes at a time.
- There are light rail and bus stops at Mill and 3rd Street. After arriving at the stop, walk north on Mill for two short blocks. Microsoft is on the NE corner of Mill and Rio Salado in the Hayden Ferry Lakeside building. For further information and direction, please visit www.valleymetro.org.
- We are approximately a ¼ mile walk from Tempe Beach Park, where there is limited free parking. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee availability.
We meet on the second Wednesday of every month (with a few exceptions) and run from 4:30 to 6:00pm. Our group meets at the Phoenix Microsoft Offices at 60 E. Rio Salado Parkway, 12th Floor, in Tempe (at Tempe Town Lake).

I have migrated a 300 table application from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Azure. I will discuss how I had to change my T-SQL logic and my .NET application in order to migrate from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Azure. I will also discuss some features that are new to SQL Azure and some features that are missing from SQL Azure that are available in SQL Server 2005
28 years programming on Microsoft platform (dBase III, C, C++, VB6, C#, T-SQL). 15 years programming with SQL Server. MCSD certification. I write shrink wrap software that uses SQL Server.
